Description

Token bridging is a mechanism used in blockchain technology to transfer tokens or digital assets from one blockchain to another. This process allows assets to move seamlessly across different blockchain networks, enabling interoperability and expanding the utility of those assets

Pre-condition

User connected wallet to IXS app

User has IXS token on Polygon or Base chain

User has enough MATIC and ETH to pay the gas fee

User Steps

1. Open the IXS app page

2. Click “Bridge” on the top navigation bar

3. If the user accesses the Bridge via a link and the current network is neither Base nor Polygon, they need to switch to either Base or Polygon to use the Bridge.

4. Then, select the Source Network (e.g., Polygon).

5. Select the Target Network ( e.g Base)

6. Select a Token

7. Type an expected amount

8. On the Target Wallet Address section, let “My Wallet” by default if user wants to send token to the connected wallet

If user selects option 2, see this page Transfer token to a New wallet

9. Click “Next Step” button

10. Click “Approve” button to Approve spending cap and approve it on connected wallet.

11. Once approval is completed, click Transfer button

12. Click Confirm on the popup

13. Confirm on connected wallet and wait for a minute

14. The transfer Token is in progress, it will take a few minutes

15. Once the Transfer Token process completed, click Next Step

16. Click Switch to Base (Target Network) and click Confirm on connected wallet to see Redeem token

17. Click Redeem and click confirm on connected wallet

18. When redeeming token success, user can Add token to connected wallet

19. Back to the Swap or Liquidity page and check on Base chain, the balance of token was increased
